YiPPE (Youth in Partnership with Parents for Empowerment)

Each year, up to 40 youth with disabilities aged 14 to 21 and one or more of their family members meet for 5 sessions spread out over a school year.  Each session runs from 5:00 to 8:30 pm Friday night and 8 am to 3 pm on Saturday.   Parents and youth participate in parallel programs to receive information in their learning styles.  Parents hear from more speakers while youth do more hands-on activities and role playing.  Shared activities occur each weekend.

"Join the YiPPE program and you can be just like me- having a lot more confidence, more friends and happy going to work."  Justin, 2014 Youth Participant
